Administrative Assistance

            I asked Mae for the privilege of writing an introduction and forward for this, her third book, a book of Poetry. She was OK with that, but cautioned me against talking about her. “Just write about the book,” she said.  I didn’t promise.

            When I first came in contact with Mae, she referred me to her web site where, she said, “You can learn all about Mae Black.” Upon a reading of only the first five or six of her poems, I knew I had to get to know this Woman of God. It is written in God’s word that, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the lips speak.”  The gift God has given Mae to write poetry that reflects the glory of our God, and the majesty of The Lord Jesus Christ, was not misplaced. 

            When you read Mae’s poetry, you will find her verses not only rhyme, but they are so very ‘in attunement’ with God’s heart, and His written word.  The superb content of Mae’s poetry will bring the reader a little closer to the Lord.  Mae writes about the Lord yes, but also about the sin-sick conditions of the world we live in.  And she does so from a perspective of how God must see things.  Mae has a heart of great compassion for her fellow man and especially for our fighting men and women.  And she writes about the difficult conditions that these wonderful warriors find themselves in.

            There is absolutely nothing pretentious about Mae.  Her capability to minister the word of God is now being used to minister salvation, restoration, healing and a brand new life; as the reader is introduced to the living God, The Lord Jesus Christ. Mae makes it abundantly clear that there is a loving Savior, waiting to embrace and forgive every person who desires a new life in Him.  It is often said, “God is good.” Yes – so very good!  And a reading of this book of poetry will be an encouragement to you and to all you share it with.
